A “perfectly-inelastic” collision (also called a “perfectly-plastic” collision) is a limiting case of inelastic collision in which the two bodies stick together after impact. The degree to which a collision is elastic or inelastic is quantified by the coefficient of restitution, a value that generally ranges between zero and one.   The previous decade has seen immense progress in the field of electron-atom scattering. The availability of accurate computed data has revitalized numerical modeling of plasmas in astrophysics, fusion, lighting, and elsewhere. Here we summarize the contribution that the Convergent Close-Coupling (CCC) method has made to the generation of such data.

Abstract. Radiative corrections necessary for high energy e + e - colliding beam experiments are reviewed. They are considered in an on-shell renormalization scheme of the standard SU(2) × U(1) isons of the adopted scheme with other various schemes are by: Download PDF: Sorry, we are unable to provide the full text but you may find it at the following location(s): (external link)Author: F Takasaki and Y Shimizu.

They include the experiments which are being carried out using the proton synchrotron, the booster synchrotron and other facilities of KEK. The phase shift analysis of nucleon‐nucleon scattering is also mentioned briefly.

To stimulate consideration of the question and to provide guidance toward a constructive answer, I announced the Second Chanowitz Prize [9] at the Second KEK Topical Conference on e+e- Collisions: lunch with Michael Peskin for suggesting an interesting W factory program (Chez Panisse in Berkeley) or for proving a no-go theorem (SLAC cafeteria).

The pion GDAs were obtained by analyzing the Belle measurements for \(\pi ^{0}\pi ^{0}\) production in the \(e^{ + }e^{ - }\) collision. From. We review the main aspects of some of the theoretical models that have been developed during the last years to describe highly charged ion‐atom collisions in the low‐energy regime.

These models are the products of a fruitful mixing of experiment and theory and provide us with a general, albeit still only rough, picture of many‐body processes still to be described in detail by more.
